A man wearing a mask says, "Whether to wear mouth muffle merely depends on the readings of the magnifier." The drawing subtly reflects that air pollution is becoming increasingly serious in big cities. With the development of economy and the improvement of living standards, there has been a rapid increase of industrial factories and urban motor vehicles in recent years. Their emission contributes significantly to air pollution and is the major ingredient in the creation of smog in some large cities. The smog’s most threatening aspect is its high concentration of particulate matter which is also known as PM 2.5. Those particulates are small enough to lodge deep into the lung and enter the bloodstream, so it is no wonder that sometimes people have difficulties in breathing or keep coughing in the foggy days. In my point of view, it is imperative for us to take measures to reduce industrial and vehicle emissions. What’s more, planting more trees can help to make the air clean and consequently benefit the health of city residents.
