An Unforgettable Lesson Though I am an ordinary girl who has ordinary growing stories as others, I do learn some lessons of great significance from my experiences, which benefit me for my whole life. An incident that happened in my adolescence impresses me most. I was in first grade at middle school with the final examination coming up. Having no clue about how to prepare for the history course, I sat for it with an empty mind. In order to pass it, I cheated without being discovered. At that moment, I felt smug about it. But what happened next really shamed me. Our history teacher, an amiable old lady, praised me in front of the whole class for my good grade. But she didn’t know I got it by cheating. She was very proud of me while I was tortured by this situation. From then on, I made up my mind that I would never cheat in every examination in the future. I worked very hard on my study and gained the best grade through my own efforts. That kind of feeling was so fantastic. I will always bear in mind that people should earn things through persistent endeavors.
