John Lennon, one of the Beatles, was murdered just before 11 p.m. on the 8th December 1980 outside his home in the Dakota Apartment Building in New York City. He had just got out of a car, and was walking to the entrance when a voice called "Mr Lennon". Lennon turned, and was shot five times. The killer threw his gun down, and stood there smiling. "Do you know what you just did.’?" Shouted the doorman. "I just shot John Lennon," the killer replied. Lennon was rushed to hospital in a police patrol ear, but it was too late. The killer was 25-year-oht Mark Chapman from Hawaii. Earlier the same evening he had asked Lennon for his autograph. In fact, he had been hanging around outside the apartment building for several days. Chapman was a fan of the Beatles and Lennon, and had tried to imitate him in many ways. It is said that he even believed that he was John Lennon.
选项
A、He shot John by accident.
B、He was a fan of the Beatles.
C、He knew what he was doing.
D、He asked John Lennon for his signature.
答案
A
解析
从听到的"Do you know what you just did?”以及“I just shot John Lennon”可知A项的内容不正确。B、C均符合所听的内容。D项从“he has asked Lennon for his autograph”可推断为正确的。此题的问题是:“Which of the following is NOT true of the killer?”,因此A项为正确答案。如果已判定A项明显不属实,则根本不用考虑B、C、D。
