答案 In the picture, a place for college entrance exam is featured. Under the scorching sun, many parents are holding an umbrella, waiting eagerly outside the entrance. This picture implies that parents attach too much emphasis on college entrance exam, considering it as "the exam that can change a kid’s life". Despite the harsh weather, parents show their emotional support by standing outside the examination venue. In my view, parents are overestimating the role college entrance exam’ plays in their children’s life. Parents hold that success in the exam might mean a better chance of receiving better higher education, getting a better job offer and hence living a better life. Nevertheless, they need to realize that life is never that simple and deserves diversified interpretation. For instance, Bill Gates dropped out of college and started his own company. His courage, vision and determination are all the more important than a good grade in an exam. He would not be as successful as he is if he had stuck to the beaten path. In conclusion, parents should adopt an unbiased viewpoint on college entrance exam. It is important, of course, but not that important to equate it with life-and-death matter.
