On the one hand, lots of people think it is necessary to build more roads to meet the increasing demand for the heavy traffic. They think that is the only way to relieve the pressure of the heavy traffic. On the other hand, others think quite differently. They suggest that the number of the automobiles should be strictly controlled in the city. They take it for granted that the heavy traffic results from the increasing numbers of private and family cars. Hence there is a necessity to limit the numbers of cars and trucks. Different people have different opinions and ideas, and each has its own reasons. As a university student, I would like to express my own ideas here. First of all, the increasing numbers of cars really result in the traffic jams, with a result of a spectacular scene of car parking everywhere. Furthermore, the increasing numbers of cars cause environment pollution. And last, the increasing numbers of cars add so much work on traffic police that you can notice the traffic police are short of hands. In my point of view, some actions should be taken to solve these problems. Wider roads, limitation on private cars and more policemen would probably be the remedy for the heavy traffic in China.
