I got a call from acclaimed director Alexander Laughlin this morning. He agreed to deliver the keynote address at the Liberaz Film Honors ceremony in place of Joseph Roscoe, who is out of town until February 12 for the shooting of his new film. Mr. Laughlin only asks that we give him enough time to prepare his speech before he sends it to us for review. As co-organizer of the event, I took the liberty of telling him that it’s OK and that we’ll give him until January 22 to write his draft.
Anyway, most of the people we invited have already confirmed their attendance. If you’d like, I can write them a group e-mail to let them know about Mr. Laughlin being the new keynote speaker so there won’t be any confusion on February 8.
