答案
Native English Teachers Are More Suitable for English Learners With the development of economy and society, we are now living in a globalized world. As English is the only worldwide used language, English learning classes are correspondingly popular all over the world. However, when asked whether native English teachers are better than non-native English teachers, different people hold different views. From my point of view, native English teachers are more suitable for English learners because they master the latest English expressions, have a good knowledge of western culture and can help learners think in an authentic way. First of all, native English speakers master the latest English expressions. With time going by, everything is changing, so are languages. As a common language frequently used all over the world, the words and phrases of English update with time. In order to catch up with the current trend, learners need to know the meaning of new expressions as well as their usage. However, most non-native English teachers lack the abilities to teach learners these new expressions as they themselves haven’t mastered them. Obviously, it is more suitable for English learners to take the classes of native English teachers. Secondly, since native English teachers come from the western culture, they have a good knowledge of western culture. As Js known to all, immersed education is a way of fast learning for English learners. Thus, full play should be given to cultural study and it is the native English teachers that English learners need most. In comparison, non-native English teachers are limited in universal knowledge of the western culture so they cannot provide enough information about the western culture. In a word, native English teachers are better than their counterparts in this aspect. Last but not least, native English teachers help English learners think in an authentic way. As a matter of fact, learning a language is not simply memorizing its words and grammar, but expressing oneself in its way. Native English teachers can not only teach learners English, but also help them think and express in an English way. By contrast, non-native English teachers lack this advantage and cannot compete with their counterparts. Thus, native English teacher is a better choice. To sum up, native English teachers master the latest English expressions, acquire a good knowledge of western culture and can help learners think in an authentic way. So compared with non-native English teachers, native English teachers are more suitable for English learners.
