I’d like to describe a street in the city centre that I like. The street is located in the north of the city centre. It’s a business street and there’re many shops, restaurants and cinemas. The street is one of the oldest business streets in the city. So, it attracts a lot of people to shop there. Many people also like to hang out with their friends in the restaurants or cinemas on that street. Because of the popularity of the street, many new brands and restaurants choose it as their site of new openings or new branches. The street is usually very busy. The government made it into a pedestrian street many years ago. Since then, it has become even more popular. During major festivals and holidays, it would be decorated in different styles. For example, you can see pumpkin lamps on the street at Halloween and it’s especially popular with children. At weekends, there’s an open-air market on the street. The market sells all kinds of things, including street food, flowers, toys and secondhand books. I really like to go to the market when I have time. I enjoy walking around there with a cup of tea in my hand. It relaxes me. I think it’s a good idea for the government to turn the street into a pedestrian street. If you went to visit it now and see the market, you might get a false impression that you’re in one of the street markets in London.
