This means it is high time that we should do something to make the situation under control. Many factors are leading to the worsening situation. For instance, industrial wastewater is directly pumped into lakes and rivers and mining wastes combining with rain leak into underground. Besides, plastic bags are buried into deep soil after use, etc. All these factors do great harm to the ground water. From my point of view, laws and regulations must be implemented to deal with water pollution. Industries that release chemical wastes should be equipped with filtering device to minimize the discharge. And it is better to ban the use of disposable plastic bags and meal boxes. Above all, the media should play an important role in implanting a sense of environmental consciousness into people’ s mind.
