5．表达“只有……才能……”有很多方式，如no one can…if…not…，或one can…as long as…。比较流行的表达方式是one can never…／no one can…unless…／without doing…，也可用于表达“不……就不……”或“只要……就会……”。宁夏旅游局设计的广告词“不到宁夏，不算走遍天下”的译文是Your journey will not be complete without a trip to Ningxia，正好用了这个句型。
6．我们通常说be regarded as，但consider后面一般不用as，如be considered a success。
7．use既可以当动词用，也可当名词用，所以of前不要使用using。名词usage的意义是“词的用法”或“用量”。本句应该使用use。
8．学生翻译“……更加地道准确”时也遇到不少麻烦，准确无误的翻译为数不多。错误主要与词形有关，如speak English more accurate或make their English more accurately，还是因为语法意识淡薄。
