Kelly’s report shows that when children had reached the age of seven,【B17】______a regular bedtime did seem to affect their cognition. But that was true only to female. On the IQ scale, whose mean value is 100 points, girls who had had regular bedtimes scored between eight and nine points more than those who did not. Boys were not completely【B18】______Irregular bedtimes left their IQs about six points below those of their【B19】______at the age of three. But the distinction【B20】______by the time they were seven.

选项
A、good
B、enough
C、proper
D、inconsistent
答案
D
解析
本题要求学生在空格处填人适当的形容词。根据第一段中的倒数第二句——有规律的就寝时间对女儿似乎确实有益,及第二段第二句中的...poor academic...可知,选项[D]inconsistent(不一致的,前后矛盾的)符合题意,意为“就寝时间安排不规律”,因此为正确答案。
