答案 My Choice for a Job A recent survey shows that people who get higher salaries generally work longer hours than those who get lower salaries. Some people favor higher-paid jobs, even though such jobs always result in less time with their family and friends. They believe that money is so indispensable in people’s lives that without it no material comforts or well-being can be guaranteed. However, I don’t think so and I insist that people should take up lower-paid jobs with shorter hours. I have several reasons to support my view. First of all, working people of today are already too stressed. They need time of their own to collect themselves and to update their knowledge. In addition, for families as well as individuals, money doesn’t necessarily ensure happiness and well-being. People need to spend time getting together with their family members and friends to satisfy their mental demands. Finally, if people have much spare time and the low-paid jobs can’t cover their expenses, they can do an extra part-time job for making up. In this way, they earn more and meanwhile enjoy a more flexible spare time. From the foregoing, we can safely draw a conclusion that the low-paid jobs offer more choices and opportunities; therefore, it fits me better.
