答案
The Impact of Online Shopping on Offline Retailers As is shown in the picture, a woman goes into retail shops with a laptop in her hands, saying to the saleswoman that she need to make a comparison with online stores prior to any purchases. What is shown in the picture indicates that online shopping has a great impact on offline retailers. With the growing accessibility of smart phones and computers, people go shopping online at their fingertips. Nevertheless, online shopping has exerted an unfavorable impact on bricks-and-mortar stores. First and foremost, more and more consumers are using the Internet to search product information before they buy in that shopping online can save their money and time. Consequently, offline sales decreased so dramatically that many stores were closed down quickly. Secondly, current online shopping trends and people’s consumption habits are forcing traditional offline retailers to change their marketing strategies. To attract customers to return to offline shopping, offline retails often launch promotional campaigns and provide customized products or better after-sales service. To sum up, it is not hard to draw a conclusion that online shopping has posed a great challenge to offline retailers. To compete with online stores, offline retailers should make changes to the overall shopping experience.
