答案　　I think individuals can do a lot of things to protect the environment. The first thing people can do is use less energy. Nowadays we still gain our energy by burning fossil fuels, the use of which would cause carbon emission. So, cutting our energy use is reducing the amount of carbon emission. People can do this by setting air conditioning at a proper temperature, about 26 degrees in the summer. Also they can use LED lights at home and drive a hybrid car. Secondly, people can take part in all kinds of activities to protect the environment. For example, growing trees is a very good way to offset one’s carbon footprint.
