            PERCHTA APPOINTS NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
VIENNA, February 4 - Perchta Incorporated, one of Austria’s largest department store chains, recently named former vice president for operations Leonie Gruber as its new chief operating officer. Ms. Gruber replaced Johann Mueller, who retired on January 28 after 35 years of service to the company.
In her new post, Ms. Gruber will be responsible for all of Perchta’s day-to-day sales, marketing, and service operations. She will also play a key role in developing strategic retailer-supplier relationships, which will ensure Perchta’s flexibility in the constantly changing marketplace.
Ms. Gruber has more than 20 years of experience in operations management and strategic communications. Since she joined Perchta as a marketing supervisor 12 years ago, she has been instrumental in securing the company’s position as an industry leader.
"I believe Perchta has the potential to become one of Europe’s premier retail chains." Ms. Gruber said during a telephone interview. "As we open our first overseas branch in Argentina in June, I look forward to contributing to our company’s continued success."
