Paying Attention to Details Attention to details is what we can and should do, especially in today’s society filled with intense competitions. Small wonder, most of us fail to achieve much simply because they seldom attach due weight to little things. For example, the manager in the picture calls immediate attention to details. He asserts that, particularly in a tight job market, he would not trust a candidate with a job if the applicant fails to take care of the minutia maybe the resume arrives on the table with stains. Maybe the candidate does not bother to spell the company’s name correctly. Of course, once the boss sees a mistake, he will definitely eliminate the candidate. Bearing in mind the main objectives in our undertakings, we should sharpen our eye for details, reminding ourselves to make sure that our spellings are correct, that our facts collected are accurate, and that our efforts are on the track. Too often we believe what accounts for others’ success in the modern society is some special secret or a lucky break. But rarely is success so mysterious. Again and again, we see that by doing little things within our grasp, large rewards naturally follow.
