答案 As one of the basic necessities in people’s life, great changes took place in people’s diet from 1985 to 2000. The percentage of grain consumption is declining, and there was a drop of 20% over 15 years, while the percentage of fruit and vegetable increased from 10% to 30%. The proportion of meat went up to 25% in the first five years, then leveled off for five years, and fell from then on. What led to such changes? People become more conscious of health and realized the importance of a balanced diet. A good diet is not only made up of protein, fat and carbohydrates, but also vitamins and other elements. As a result, grain witnessed a decline, but fruit and vegetables went the other way. Many people, especially young ladies, want to keep good shape. When meat met the basic, need of the body, they did not take in more meat in order to avoid fat. Some even go on a diet and live on very little grain and meat. With the development of our economy and the improvement of our living standards, our diet will be more and more scientific, and we will become more and more physically fit.
