    They arrived there at seven o’ clock and asked the head waiter where their table was.
    "What was the name, sir?" asked the waiter.
    "Hassim," answered Mr. Hassim.
    The head waiter checked his reservation list and said, "I’m sorry, sir. There’ s no Hassim in the list. And I’ve got no free tables. "
    Mr. and Mrs. Hassim both began to look annoyed.
    "No reservation? Impossible! I want to see the manager. "
    When the manager came, Mr. Hassim said angrily, "Your waiter says I have no reservation. I rang here at 10 o’ clock this morning and made one. The name is Hassim. "
    "I’m very sorry, sir, but there’s no Hassim on our list. I’ m sure we haven’t made a mistake. " Mr. Hassim’s face began to go dark with anger. "There is only one table not taken," said the manager, "and that’s in the name of Rajah. "
    "Oh?" Mr. Hassim looked strange, "Rajah’s my name, too. I must have used that when I made the reservation. I am really sorry. "
    "That’s quite all right, sir," said the manager. "I’ll show you to your table."
