答案 It is generally accepted today that communication, rather than fight, is the optimal way to settle conflicts and bring harmony to the world. As is symbolically depicted in this picture, it is like a bridge that bridges various gaps to be a road. Since the world is becoming more and more diversified, communication plays an increasingly important role and is perhaps the only effective approach to disputes. The significance of communication is verified not only by nations at war, business opponents but also by people bearing different thoughts, behaviors and customs. One of the most frequently heard complaints today is that there are so many differences between the old and the young generations that they always fail to understand each other and many disputes arise accordingly. Always rebellious, young people are seemingly turning to be rather odd while their parents are quite embarrassed, or even unbearable to see all these offbeat behaviors. Children may deem parents to be conserved while parents may come to the conclusion that the young are getting wild. Actually, if they can communicate effectively, parents will understand that young people are not mad but merely seeking for an identity in this colorful world and young people will reconsider their behavior and accept reasonable suggestions from their parents. Communication is really powerful. But the power lies in understanding others and acknowledging their differences. The best way to communicate is to learn to be a little more tolerant and treat difference as variety instead of discord and rebellion. Remember: where there is communication, there is a way.
