问题
would you say people spend more time outdoors today than they did before?
选项
答案
No. Nowadays, people spend less time outdoors. In the past, people had to do a wide range of outdoor activities because most of their jobs were farm work. In the meantime, children had to help their parents with some chores outdoors, like watering plants or feeding livestock. However, these days, people mostly do their jobs indoors. Adults work in modern buildings where they engage more in brain work than physical labour. Similarly, children are no longer willing to play outside because of the advanced technology. They would rather stay at home watching TV instead of flying kites in the squares.
