答案Home I live in a fairly large house in the countryside near Rome. It’s quite an old building, so recently my father had it renovated. Now, it looks really nice. I live there with my parents. I have two older siblings, but they don’t live at home now. As it’s quite a large house, there’s plenty of room for the three of us. My older brother and sister have left some of their things in one of the rooms. All my life. My parents got the house when they married. I don’t think that I will stay there for much longer though. I intend to study abroad and then get a job, possibly in Rome, possibly in another city. I love living there. It’s in the countryside, so the air is fresh and the landscape is beautiful. It’s close enough to the city to go there for a day—you know, if I want to buy something or meet people there. The only disadvantage is that I have to stay with a friend overnight if we go out in the evening. There’s no way to get back to my home after about 8 in the evening. Ambitions My ambition in life is to become a surgeon. My parents have always been keen for me to study medicine. At first, I wasn’t really interested in it, but later maybe they convinced me. To be honest, the main reason I would like to do this job is that it should give me the chance to make a fair amount of money. Then I could retire early to the countryside. I think so. I’m getting very good grades at school and I’ve been provisionally accepted to Rome University, starting in September. It will certainly be very challenging, but I don’t mind that. I know that I will have to study for several years, but it will be worth it. I don’t think that I’m very ambitious, but I am a little. I want to be successful. I want to be fairly rich. I don’t need millions of dollars, but I want to have a comfortable life. I’m not ambitious in other aspects of my life, like sports. My family members are definitely ambitious. My parents want to achieve more in their lives and my siblings have both begun what we hope will be successful careers. My friends are also quite ambitious. They, like me, have big plans for their future careers. I think that my most ambitious friend is Antonio. He likes girls, but he’s not so handsome or good at talking to them. We call him the most ambitious Romeo! He often tries to meet girls, but never seems to succeed. Places of interest There’s so much! Italy is famous for it’s historical sights, particularly from Roman times. Of course, I would recommend Rome, but not only because I am near from there. Almost every one of the old streets is worth visiting for it’s historical value. If you go there, don’t just go the famous sights. Take awalk around the back streets. Of course, another place to go is Venice. One place that I particularly like to go to in the spring or autumn is Lake Garda in the north of Italy. There’s the lake, mountains and forests. It’s idyllic. Yes, I do. As I said, I go to Rome quite often to meet friends. We walk around, stopping here and there for a coffee or a glass of freshly squeezed juice. I go to Lake Garda at least once a year. My parents know someone there and we stay with them. Then they come to visit us once a year for their holiday. We usually sit outside and sip wine and eat snacks or go for a walk. I like visiting places of natural beauty most. I like old buildings too, but nature is so much better than anything man-made, if you ask me. I like anywhere with fine views of the surrounding countryside. Yes, I do. I have a big collection of photographs—several hundred at least. Nowadays, it’s so easy with digital cameras. I take a camera with me every time I visit a place or when I go to see friends. I love going through my photographs occasionally to remind myself of the places I have been to and the things I have done.
