The enlightening picture portrays that a man is unbearably bothered by the information of junk short messages, including certificate-making, discount for household, winning a prize, high-salary recruitment, etc. Undoubtedly, the rampancy of junk messages has become a pressing problem. The reasons for this problem are complicated. However, it is people’s chasing commercial interests by advertising via messages that is mainly to blame. Unfortunately, mobile phone users have to repeatedly delete junk messages, which distracts people from study and work, wasting a lot of time. Otherwise, possible false information will put people’s property at risk. In the past, many people were taken in by the information they received and suffered from great economic loss. Then how can we make a real difference to the problem of junk messages? Firstly, telecom companies should strengthen its supervision, forbidding their clients from sending junk messages. Secondly, severe punishment rules should be made to punish those who send junk messages. It is time to regulate the market of mobile phone short messages. With joint efforts, this disturbing phenomenon can be avoided.
