答案 What the table shows is the college student’s booklist, we can see there is a big change of college student’s choice of books from 1992 to 2012. Obviously, books of philosophy and society and novels have declined dramatically in importance, while books of foreign languages and computer science have increased respectively by 28 percent and gained popularity. There are three main factors accounting for these changes. Firstly, there is a pressing need for most college students to study foreign languages and computer science well so that they can cope with the state of job market. Secondly, novels are still popular though the proportion decreased as most popular books can be read online for free. Finally, entering the information age, people have access to more and more E-books which can satisfy their curiosity in all directions. From what we have discussed above, we may safely come to the conclusion that the books of foreign languages and computer science will still occupy large proportions in college students’ booklists in the forthcoming years.
