答案 An Optimistic Attitude is Better than a Pessimistic Attitude Looking at the same cup of water, two persons have different attitudes toward it. One says that the cup is half empty, while the other says the cup is half full. This cartoon illustrates two attitudes people usually hold for the same thing—pessimistic and optimistic attitudes. I am for the optimistic attitude because optimistic attitude is a crucial element of a better life. Optimistic attitude helps to relieve the psychological stress when we encounter difficulties. Modern life, for example, is stressful. We compete at work and may possibly fail to fulfill our goals. The optimists always have hope for their own life. If things are going badly, they act quickly, looking for solutions, forming a new plan of action, and reaching out for advice. With an optimistic attitude, one can always hope for the best, which reaffirms his determination to keep on trying till success. On the contrary, the pessimists feel stress of life and usually give in to difficulties. They do not attempt to change the situation since they assume nothing can be done. If people feel hopeless they do not bother to make changes needed for success. To summarize, the best way to overcome the frustrations brought about by difficulties is to always take a positive attitude for things as well as life. With optimistic attitude, we can become happier, healthier and more successful.
