答案 Rural Migrant Workers It is obvious in the table that the number of rural migrant workers had undergone dramatic changes from 2002 to 2010. It has been on a steady increase in recent years. In 2010, the total number of rural migrant workers in China amounted to 242 million. What accounts for the changes reflected in the above table? As far as I am concerned, there are mainly three reasons. First of all, the policies are increasingly advantageous to those farmers who work in cities. Secondly, urbanization effectively transforms farmers into urban residents. What s more, modern agricultural production has liberated a vast rural labor force. From the above discussions, we can confidently predict that the trend described in the table will continue for quite a long time, and more and more farmers will come to work and reside in big cities.
