答案
Be Generous With Your Compliments When asked about the effect of compliments, one of Mark Twain’s remarks flashes in my mind, which goes like this, "I can live for two months on a good compliment." Indeed, people always feel happy when hearing other people’s compliments. First and foremost, it’s indisputable that a good many people are fond of compliments. With a host of issues to deal with every day, they are more likely to be under pressure and can easily lose heart. In this case, offering our compliments can help them become upbeat and active, and can improve their confidence. In addition, sometimes compliments may be an useful tool for us when we are communicating with a stranger, in which compliments may help us ease the awkward atmosphere and get on well with each other. Finally, giving compliments can promote our social intercourse to some extent. Taking all these into account, it is so influential and helpful for us to be generous with our compliments, as giving others compliments will make people happy and get ourselves more friends.
