The bar chart below shows the top ten countries for the production and consumption of electricity in 2014.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

答案 The bar chart shows the top ten countries that generated and used electricity in 2014 measured in billions of KiloWatt hours (bkWh). The countries are China, the US, Russia, Japan, India, Canada, France, Brazil, Germany and the Republic of Korea. We can clearly see that China and the USA were, by far, the largest producers and consumers of power with a production amount of 5,398 bkWh and 4,099 bkWh, respectively. Regarding consumption, they were 5,322 bkWh and 3,866. The other eight countries, had a production ranging from 1,057 bkWh(Russia) to the smallest being 485.1 bkWh(Korea). Usage figures were between 1,038 bkWh and 449.5 bkWh. If we add all of these up together they were still less than the top two combined. In summary, it is obvious that power consumption was not related to population. The US had two thirds less people than China and yet still needed a similar amount of power. ( 152 words )
