The meaning conveyed in the drawing is of importance to the development of our sports games. The aim of the painter of the drawing can be briefed as follows. To begin with, it is urgent for some players to cultivate necessary sports spirits. At present, some players are so money-oriented that they often sacrifice sports spirits to gain their personal interests. For instance, some players take drugs prohibited by IOC while others are involved in notorious sports gambling. When players lose their sports spirit, the value of sports is gone. What’s more, players with both super professional skills and excellent sports spirit are players badly needed at the moment. Owing to the more frequent international exchange, we not only need athletes with wonderful skills to display the rapid growth of Chinese sports but also want athletes with first-class sports spirit to demonstrate our national image and win the world over. On the whole, to keep the sustainable development of sports and to establish our international image depend upon both the professional skills and sports spirit. In my view, effective measures should be taken to reverse the grim status. First of all, laws and regulations must be set up to curb the players’ misconduct. In addition, an education campaign should be launched to popularize sports spirit among athletes, especially the young.
