Kathleen: Oh, it doesn’t matter. That is fine. I have looked after myself you know. I have had a couple of drinks.
Roy: I see. All right. Unbelievable! The traffic is just unbelievable today.
Kathleen: Well, what happened in fact? You got held up, did you?
Roy: Well, you know, it’s just been one of those days. I have three appointments this morning and have been late for every one of them. I am getting such a bad reputation for punctuality.
Kathleen: Ah, don’t think about it really. Honestly I haven’t been put out in the slightest.
Roy: Yeah, butt I feel terribly sorry.
Kathleen: Anyway forget it. Now let me get you a drink then we can go into lunch quite soon.
Roy: Yes. Well, the thing I must not be is late for my next appointment, so let’s go in now, shall we?
Kathleen: OK.
