答案 The bar chart shows the different career choices between boys and girls. As can be seen, 40% of the boys aspire to be managers, compared with 15% of the girls. In addition, 30%, 15% and 10% of the boys choose to be businessmen, lawyers and scientists, opposite to 25%, 10%, and 5% of the girls. However, as many as 45% of the girls want to be teachers, while only 5% of the boys choose that option. This propensity might be socially and culturally induced, which results from the male-dominant ideology. To be exact, females are usually stereotyped as weak in logic and decision, two important qualities required for managers, lawyers, scientists and businessmen. In addition, females are considered soft, patient and kind-hearted, which could explain why so many girls choose to be teachers. I believe that this gender-biased stereotype must be abolished, and we should encourage boys and girls to pursue their dream careers according to their own wishes and capacity.
