答案 The Brain and the Computer In modern times the computer is so advanced that many people think that it is superior to the human brain. But before we draw a conclusion, comparison between them is absolutely necessary. In size, the human brain is one tenth of a cubic foot while the computer has hundreds of cubic feet of space. As for the electrical energy used, the brain needs 25 watts of electrical power while the computer needs 100, 000 watts of electrical power. In the structure of cells, the brain’ s cells are directly connected to many others but the computer’ s cells are unconnected like a cell of pigeonholes. The last advantage that the brain has over the computer is the capacity. The brain can store between 10 billion and 100 billion items of information while the computer can store only a few billion items of immediately accessible information. Also the brain has thinking capacity that the computer does not. So a conclusion can be drawn that the brain is much superior to the computer.
