答案 While people are paying ever greater attention to the problem of obesity among adults, it is certainly important to show adequate concern for our heavy kids as well. As the above picture shows, some children, who are obviously overweight for their age, are going towards the entrance of an elementary school. Isn’t this picture an alert for our society and parents to take action to stop this phenomenon.9 Evidently, it is their parents and even grandparents who should be blamed for the children’s heaviness. Due largely to the birth control policy, many families in China have only one child to whom they devote all their love and care. These only children can have virtually everything they desire, be it food or toys. And thus those much-advertised westernized food like coke, French fries, fried chicken and other high-calorie food become children’s "favorites", resulting in obesity in children. Obesity will not only harm the children’s health but also pose a threat to the future of our country since children are the pillar of a country’s future. Here I do not want to suggest any concrete solutions to the problem since such solutions are not difficult to be found. All I want to do is to arouse our awareness to this phenomenon, obesity among our children.
