答案
Recently, we have noticed that celebrities who have made some contributions to the society gain exceptional admission to many colleges in China. This policy, as is the case with many issues, has both merits and demerits. On the one hand, celebrities gaining exceptional admission to colleges can raise the reputation of both the celebrity and the university in that given a higher diploma, the celebrities can improve their academic images in the public’s eye while the universities gain more attention from the public. On the other hand, it is not fair for students who compete severely to enter universities. As we all know, college entrance examination in China is very competitive. Students have to work very hard to enter their ideal universities. As far as I am concerned, the current practice with regards to celebrities’ admission to universities should be improved and made more transparent. For instance, it is feasible to require celebrities to pass tests with equal importance to the national entrance examination before admission.
