答案The Average Family Income and Expenses in the U. S. The table shows the average family income and expenses in the U. S. in 2002 and in 2003. In 2002, the average family income was divided in the following way: 25% was spent on housing, 18% on food, 10% on medical expenses, 7% on entertainment and 5% was saved. The remaining 35% was used to meet all other expenditures. In 2003 a slightly different picture emerges. Housing, medical and food costs increased a little. Entertainment expenditures and savings remained the same. The remaining expenditures for other items decreased to 23%. It is clear from the table that as incomes increase, people can afford to live and eat better.
