If you choose topic A: what is important when analysing project feasibility? I have good reasons to suggest that market research should be carried out before any project is put onto the track. It can not be more obvious: the launching of any project must meet the needs of the consumers. If the market is not lack of a certain product, it can be a really lame idea to make this old-fashioned product come into being. On the other side, if people have certain needs and count on researchers to develop some products, it means there is a mature and ready market, and it is safe to design the project. Of course, after the project has been rationally designed, a positive impact is not guaranteed until there is appropriate implementation of it. For instance, you have to find financial support, and it is a wise choice to select well-trained personnel to do it. This can be the most essential factor on the whole chain. Lastly, profitability analysis should be taken into consideration. Profitability analysis should be done before we carry out any project. We can know a lot from studying economic indicators. "Economic indicators", I mean the consumer confidence index, employment cost index, producer price index, consumer price index, etc. will show the prosperity of market. If you choose topic B: what is important when dealing with cost control? Cost control is closely related to the completion of production and the profit of the company. We should not only make a careful calculation of the productivity and unit labour cost but also monitor asset usage to ensure reasonable use of every piece of the assets. One way to improve productivity is to improve the production line. It can shorten the storage time and save a lot of cost. About asset usage, we’d better monitor whether every piece of them is fully used. We can also make great efforts to find substantial material. Because cheaper material, lower cost will reduce the cost. Follow this line, we can also seek discount from the supplier. They do have special deals with repeated customers. Cost saving and control needs the participation of all the employees to be involved. Actually, every section can make its own contribution. For instance, the financial staff can do it through enhancing their operational capacity: the accounting staff can do it through improving their professional skills. Anyway, there is no well-being of the staff without the well-being of the company. If you choose topic C: what is important when promoting a new product? When deciding how to promote a new product, we should consider several factors. First and foremost, the distribution channel of the product is an essential element. It is advisable to design the whole promoting campaign based on that. That is to say, whether to design a universal way to advertise the product or to grant retailers permissions to do it on their own way. Secondly, perfect timing of the launching is also important. If the major competitors are also promoting similar products in the same season and never overlook the outcome of this crash there will be overflow of the product into the market. Furthermore, selecting an appropriate media also plays a central role in promoting new products. If a wrong media is chosen, target consumers probably can never get access to the advertisement of the new product. Before I finish, I’d like to point out that there can also be other strategies when different products are concerned. For instance, we can print fine literature or leaflets or some new way to make the product known and accepted.
