答案
Electronic Dictionaries Are Not Good There is no consensus of opinions among people as to electronic dictionaries. Some people who are in favor of the idea of using the electronic dictionaries hold that it is more convenient to press some keys on the machine. For one thing, they can get the meaning of a certain word very quickly. For another, they like to show they are catching up with the new development of the science and technology. Therefore, more and more students choose to use electronic dictionaries instead of traditional ones. However, those who insist on using traditional dictionaries argue that constant use of such electronic device may cause side effects. In their opinions, electronic dictionaries do not contain as much information as a qualified dictionary compiled by authorities of the field. In addition, some explanations in them are so simple that they can certainly cause misunderstanding. In my viewpoint, a learner should have a good dictionary on hand and treat the electronic dictionary as a makeshift. That is to say, electronic dictionaries cannot take the place of traditional ones. In a word, only when we take good use of electronic dictionaries, can we improve a great deal in English study.
