答案
Should Colleges Focus on Talent Training or Scientific Research? As we all know, colleges are institutes that provide higher education for students. So the primary task of colleges should be talent training. However, with the target of being top-grade, some colleges mainly focus on scientific research. People have different views on this phenomenon. Some hold that the development of scientific research is premature for most colleges. But some consider that colleges should not only pay attention to talent training, but also try to develop research abilities. From my point of view, colleges should attach the greatest importance to talent training. Firstly, many colleges in China are still in the developing period, and they are not competent enough to do scientific research. Secondly, developing scientific research blindly is a waste of resources. In the long run, the training of talented students is the basis of scientific research. With enough resources of talents, the development of scientific research could be more rapid and healthy.
