People living in London are often very lonely, particularly after work. This is because the people they are with all day are scattered over large areas in the evenings and weekends. If you walk through the streets in the center of London on a Sunday, it is almost like an empty town. One is sorry for old people who do not live with their children and have no work to go to during the day.
