Why did the men get to sleep so late?

M: Could you give me something for the pain? I couldn’t get to sleep until 3 o’clock this morning.
W: Aspirin is the strongest medicine I can give you.
M: That isn’t strong enough. I’ve tried it but failed.
W: I can do nothing except calling for a doctor for you.
