答案
There are many variations in numbers of listeners to radio and television, according to the graph. This essay will review the information provided and propose possible causes for these variations. The general trend seen in radio is that the morning audience is usually the most, and the number tapers off for the rest of the day. There is also a slight increase in listeners from 4 p. m. to 5 p. m. and around 11 p. m. For television, there is a steady increase in viewers from 6 a. m. to 8 p. m. From 4 p. m. to 6 p. m. , there is a sharp increase in numbers, and from 9 p. m. to 1 a. m, , there is a very sharp de- crease. There are many possible reasons for these trends. In the morning, people often listen to the radio while they are rushing about getting ready for school or work. Few people have time to sit down and watch television. After work or school, many people like to relax and unwind by watching television. Some people watch television all evening. At around 11 p. m. , many people are getting ready to sleep. Some listen to the radio before they fall asleep, and others watch the 11 p. m. news. Usually by midnight, people are sleeping, and not listening to the radio nor watching television.
