W: Oh, no! Hey, Ed, the toilet’s still running over. Didn’t you call the plumber?
M: I didn’t have time today, Honey.
W: But you told me you were going to call him today. What were you doing all day? I mean, after all, it only takes five minutes to call the plumber.
M: I was working on a project for school all day. I got so involved I forgot all about it, okay?
W: Well, I called you from work this morning at 9 o’clock to remind you of it. How come you didn’t answer the phone?
M: At 9? Oh, that was you calling. I was taking a shower at the time. Hey, since you had time to call me from work, why didn’t you call the plumber from work?
W: Because you said you were going to! And besides, I didn’t have the number with me. And please take off the earphones!
