When did Miss Smith work for Loomis and Martin?
M: Let’s discuss your educational background, Miss Smith. You were an English major, weren’t you?
W: Yes. That’s right. It was my best subject at the college.
M: Fine. And could you tell me what kind of work experience you’ve had?
W: My last position was with Loomis and Martin. That’s a law firm in New York.
M: When was that exactly?
W: From 1990 to 1993. Before that I worked for Bishop and Baldwin. That was from 1988 to 1990. And I’ve been doing freelance work for the last few months.
M: Well, Miss Smith, your qualifications for the job are excellent. Could you tell me what kind of salary you are expecting?
W: In my last job I was making $ 1, 500 per month. I understand that this position has a starting salary of a-round $ 1, 600 per month.
M: That’s right.
W: That would be fine with me.
M: And is there anything you’d like to ask about the job?
W: Yes. I’d like to know if the company provides opportunities for further education.
M: Yes, our employees are allowed to take up to six hours a week at full pay, to attend college courses.
W: That’s very generous.
M: Is there anything else you’d like to know?
W: No, not at this time. Thank you. I appreciate the time you’ve given to me.
