Marks will be awarded for content relevance, content sufficiency, organization and language quality. Failure to follow the above instructions may result in a loss of marks.
YES
Proposing changes to teachers’ teaching content contributes to the improvement of teaching quality. Usually, it is difficult for teachers to realize the mistakes and slips in their teaching unless students remind them.
Teachers may not clearly know what students have known and want to know when planning their lessons. If students can put forward their ideas and suggestions towards the lessons, it will be of great help for teachers to upgrade their teaching projects.
Trying to evaluate teachers’ lessons is particularly beneficial for students’ academic and career development in the future. Because the modern education emphasizes criticism and innovation. Undoubtedly, debating or discussing with teachers is an effective way for students to learn.
NO
Students may be not mature enough to make sound judgment upon their teachers’ academic performance. Conversely, some negative comments might be randomly made only because teachers’ hairstyle, appearance or clothes are not their favorite.
Some students are more likely to make irresponsible comments on their teachers simply because they are blamed by their teachers. Therefore, teachers will be hurt innocently.
Students will suffer a loss in terms of knowledge and other learning content. This is because teachers always devote much to delivering knowledge and explaining theories. If they are disrupted, their teaching plan may not be able to be fulfilled.

答案
Should We Encourage Students to Evaluate and Criticize Teachers? Students nowadays are encouraged to evaluate and criticize their teachers’ performance so as to enhance the education quality as well as promote their own future development. However, some people claim that it goes against the traditional virtue of respecting teachers and valuing education. Besides, many students are too young to make fair judgements on their teachers. Speaking for myself, I am not willing to deny the demerits brought about by students’ remarks on teachers’ performance, but I still support those who say Yes. In the first place, asking students to evaluate their teachers can stimulate teachers’ passion to optimize their teaching methods. Both praise and criticism from students are timely feedback on teachers’ work, according to which teachers can make active adjustments of teaching. In the second place, allowing students to assess the teaching performance can not only cultivate their critical thinking skills but also improve their independent expression abilities. Last but not least, evaluation from students can promote mutual understanding between teachers and students, which is conducive to establishing a harmonious teacher-student relationship. In conclusion, students should be empowered to evaluate their teachers’ performance on the condition that they can put forward objective suggestions without showing disrespect for teachers or breaching the disciplines in the classroom.
