The owner of the shop was so successful that many students follow suit and set up their own shops online. People differ on students’ running an online shop. Some people support it, saying students can earn some money and lighten the financial burden of their family. What’s more important, they gain precious experience of running business, which may help them land a good job after graduation. Others, however, are opposed to it. They believe students’ priority is studying. Running an online shop, they say, will definitely distract students from their studies, which equals to putting the cart before the horse. I agree that students should put studying in the first place. However, acquiring practical skills shouldn’t be neglected as well. Running an online shop should be encouraged as long as students can balance their study and work.
