Globalization is the present worldwide driving toward a global- (1)______
ized economic system dominated by supranational corporate trade and
banking institutions that are not accountable for democratic processes (2)______
or national governments. "Globalization is not a phenomenon. It is not
just some passing trends. Today it is an overarching international sys- (3)______
tem shaping the domestic politics and foreign relations of virtually ev
ery country, and we need to understand it like such." Globalization is (4)______
more like fire. Fire itself is neither good nor bad. Used properly, it can cook (5)______
food, sterilize equipment, form iron, and heat our homes. Used carelessly,
fire can destroy lives, towns and forests in an instant. Globalization has
dangers and an ugly dark side. But it can also take tremendous opportunities (6)______
and benefits.
Just as capitalism requires network of governing systems to keep (7)______
them from devouring societies, globalization requires vigilance and the rule (8)______
of law. Globalization will always have cheerleaders who are blind to the de
struction globalization can cause. And it will always have strident opponents
blind to the way globalization gives to some people their first opportunity (9)______
to fulfill basic aspirations. As with most issues, the majority of people will
be in middle. They will see globalization not as something to worship or (10)______
demonize. Instead, they will see it as something to mold, shape and manage
for the betterment of everyone.

选项
答案
more — /或more — much
解析
使用比较级需要上下文或语境中有比较的对象。所以在这里用more like是不合适的,应该改成原级。这一点和中文表达习惯不太一样。
