Which of the following relationship is NOT mentioned in this passage?
There are growing interest in how early life affects us in adulthood. However, most previous studies rely on recollection of people. Whereas this research tracks participants from early childhood to their young adulthood. The research shows that babies who are given more love and affection by mothers can deal better with stress and anxiety when they grow up. (11) The research looks into 482 eight-month-old children, finding that even the very early life experiences children do not remember can influence their later happiness. The researchers, led by Dr. Joanna Maselko of Duke University in North Carolina, rate the relationship between these eight-month-old babies and their mothers through routine developmental assessment. (11) They look at how well the mother cope with the child’s developmental changes and how she responds to the child’s performance. (12) Then mental health will be assessed when the child grows up—at an average age of 34 months old. (13) The result shows that adults whose mothers have been the most affectionate during their assessment as babies will have the lowest level of anxiety, hostility and distress. (13) The study also finds that lots of maternal love make children form a solid bond with their mothers. And children feel securer when they grow up. (11) What’s more, children will have better social skills and cope better with difficulties in their later life.
