How can light and bright color influence people?

Every color has a meaning. We have said that red is lovable. A red dress brings warmth and cheer to the saddest winter days. Color influences our moods. A yellow room makes most people feel more relaxed than a dark green one; light and bright colors make people not only happier but also more active. On the other hand, black makes people sad. A lot of people used to kill themselves on the black bridge over the Thames River. Until it was repainted green the number of self-murder at- tempts immediately fell sharply. If it had been painted in pink it would have fallen even more be- cause pink is romantic.
