答案
The picture depicts a funny scene in the hospital vividly. Several people are waiting in quite a long queue outside the clinic with a sign that reads "expert" on its door, while no one is willing to receive the general outpatient service. It is widely accepted that an expert is more professional. People would have absolute trust in experts, and neglect opinions from ordinary people. Actually, experts are not necessarily professional in every aspect, and they make mistakes too. Take the expert in the picture as an example. He may possibly give wrong diagnosis, exaggerate the state of your illness, or prescribe some expensive yet unnecessary medicines. The famous Leaning Tower of Pisa experiment can be served as a much convincing example. Galileo conducted the experiment to disprove the theory of gravity put forward by Aristotle, who was considered an authority and not to be challenged. As a result, Aristotle’s theory was proved wrong. In my opinion, experts should be respected because they do possess professional knowledge in certain fields. However, we should avoid blind faith in them, and make our own judgment after careful reasoning.
