答案Why Do We Read Books? Almost everyone knows the importance of reading books. Francis Bacon demonstrates the benefits of reading different types of books and tells the way to read. For me, reading books brings a lot to us. On one hand, reading broadens one’s horizon. People live in a very limited environment, which leads to the limitation of knowledge. Through reading books, people have the possibility of knowing a broader world. Consequently, they are equipped with critical thinking. On the other hand, reading shapes one’s personality. Sometimes, it is easy to tell people who read from people who do not. The reason is that the former is shaped into a certain personality. With the nurture of "food" in the book, one changes from body to soul. They become polite, tolerant, kind-hearted and caring. All consist of a good personality. To conclude, reading is extensively encouraged. Our country holds the activity of "National Reading" as Premier Li puts it in the government work report in 2015. Here I appeal for reading every day!
