The driver pedals with his passengers for a short journey after a price for the trip has been agreed. Traffic in Beijing is congested and slow. Buses, cars, taxis, bicycles, pedicabs, minibuses, and even some horse drawn carts clog the roads. While many people own a car there is almost nowhere to park in the city. Traffic jams are common on roads in Beijing and air pollution is a big problem in all Chinese cities.
